I am having a fantastic weekend.
Which is suprising, because Saturday morning I had completely decided that I hated the world. To keep things short and from "venting" more than is necessary, suffice to say that several things crashed on our/my Saturday plans (and day) that were not super. Not the least of which was that TJ had to work on Saturday, when we had big plans to work on the house and hang with his parents, who were coming in to visit for a few hours and give us a few things for our house. AND TJ found an anonymous note in our mailbox: "Please mow your yard". I would just like to point out that 1) our yard is not the most overgrown on the street and 2) the only reason it had taken longer than usual was because every time TJ planned to mow this week, it started raining. I was ready to go door to door and tell people if they wanted my yard mowed while my husband works 2nd shift, they could come do it themselves, but TJ thought it was funny. He just mowed the yard with Siah and went about his day.
But TJ went to work, Josiah went home with Nani and Pops for a weekend in Ashland and my friend Stephanie came over with a surprise Diet Pepsi. She knew I needed a pick-me-up and listened to me vent and complain about my morning. Then my cousin Clark came over to say hi and left on his way to go do a major act of service for my husband that blessed my socks off. After that, I turned on Pandora and started haning pictures on the walls in our living room. After finishing, it's now my favorite room and I never want to leave it, because other rooms seem bare with nothing on their walls yet. :-) But I'm working on it.
Sunday at church was awesome, 2 people gave their lives to Christ and a lot more came forward for prayer. It was my last time on the worship team before baby Stella comes! I can't believe that she'll be here in a week and a half. TJ and I came home yesterday from church and crashed, and then we got up and he cleaned and organized the entire basement while I organized the rest of the mess that was our bedroom. Life feels so much better.
So now, Siah comes home at 2 and it's on to laundry!
